America Has Changed The World

Dear Gabriel,

People who think this country and society is brutal... or that Europe takes better care of their people... or that only highly educated people have the right to decide for the majority of people living here... I must say a few things!

This country has changed the history of the world. The republic has allowed more freedom for more people in the history of the world than any other. If anyone thinks another country takes better care of their people, then I ask you, "Have you ever really lived in another country? If you think they take better care of you... THEN LEAVE!"

It just makes my blood boil when ANYONE rants and raves about how terrible America is. To those people I say, "You have no idea what it is like to live OUTSIDE of America". Those who have lived outside of here know that we are blessed beyond measure, that we have more opportunity than any other place, that more people are enjoying the blessing of freedom because they have been able to come here and take part.

I know you are going to grow up in a time when the Constitution is completely forgotten, but I hope you don't forget. I am going to do the best I can so that you don't forget. No matter what, remember, that America has truly changed the world!
